Temporary housing for the independent, autonomized youth

People leaving the educational care center in Poland.
Youth is often being marginalized in the support and help efforts due to their age and lack of life experience.
Unfortunately homeless youth is an invisible reality. Many young people who leave educational care centers often try coming back to their homes or distant relatives, but often it ends up with them being on the streets, homeless. Due to the unwieldy help system in Poland social flats are lacking and there are no proactive programmes for those who are threatened by homelessness.
The temporary housing for the independent aims to help by taking away one of the essential needs - housing. This project would encourage them to focuse on education, job and metal health.  The idea is to help them bounce back on their life track.

The flat is for one person. The main idea was to make it as small as possible while avoiding any pathological solutions. Due to its little meterage the flat could be made many times. The goal is that diversified neighbours would help and need help from the independent, making them feel needed while preventing them from returning to their pristine life model.
The minimal meterage is supposed to not only be a shelter but also be an educatory, friendly home - a place to meet with friends, study, work, cook or do the laundry.
To minimize the meterage multifunctionality was a necessity.
The benchtop is not only a cooking space but also a place to eat, work and to do homework, learn.
The bed is partly sliding under the wardrobe - this gives the room more space during the day and hides the sheets easily. While during the day it becomes a useful, comfy couch to sit on with some friends.
The flat also contains a lot of storage space even for the needed household products like a washer-dryer or a fridge.
